Over the weekend, Spaceface frontman Jake Ingalls had a chance to chat with WMEB‘s (University of Maine, Orono) Music Director Dylan Burch about the bands latest release Sun Kids, and the story behind how he came to join the seminal indie rock band The Flaming Lips. With a new release under their belt and a Spring 2017 tour in the works, Spaceface is quickly gaining high praise and significant airplay at college radio stations all across the country. With this kind of momentum, it is only a matter of time before the bands unique brand of acid-washed psychedelia bursts into the public consciousness, and further solidifies their rightful place along the spectrum of contemporary rock and roll.

About Spaceface:

Spaceface is a six piece psychedelic garage-rock band hailing from Memphis, TN. Fronted by singer-songwriter Jake Ingalls, a current member of the seminal rock band The Flaming Lips, Spaceface fuses 60 and 70’s era psychedelia with the synth heavy pulses and textures of modern day electronic music. With a live EP already under their belt and an acid flashback inducing light show to add to their performance arsenal, the band is excited to launch into 2017 with the release of their highly anticipated, debut album Sun Kids.
