Kurt Travis Begins Tour with Jonny Craig & Tilian

THE KURT TRAVIS/PAUL TRAVIS SPLIT EP IS AVAILABLE NOW

Former A Lot Like Birds & Dance Gavin Dance vocalist Kurt Travis will hit the road today for 21 dates with Jonny Craig (Slaves) and Tilian Pearson (Dance Gavin Dance). Myke Terry and Victory Heights will also be playing select dates.

Kurt Travis recently explained his departure from A Lot Like Birds in a statement to AltPress, citing their new musical direction. This will be his first tour since leaving the band and will be performing songs from his new split EP with singer/songwriter Paul Travis, out now on Kurt’s label Esque Records.

About Kurt Travis:
Kurt Thomas Travis (born January 16, 1984) is an American singer-songwriter and musician, the former lead vocalist for post-hardcore bands Dance Gavin Dance (2007–2010) and A Lot Like Birds (2011–2016). Shortly following the release of “A Lot Like Birds” album Conversation Piece (2011), Travis released his solo EP album, “Wha Happen?”, through Doghouse Records in January 2012. In March 2013, Travis released a self-titled second EP through Equal Vision Records.

With former Dance Gavin Dance guitarist and current member of Strawberry Girls, Zachary Garren, he recorded a full-length studio album, “Everything Is Beautiful”, which was released on May 14, 2014

On February 1st 2016 Kurt Travis released a split ep with Paul Travis who is signed to Kurt’s record label “Esque Records”
