[LOCAL_NOISE] The Past 24 Hours Will Bring Out The 2009 In You

Written by Mike De Man.

This is a shoutout to the post hardcore fans and scene kids who grew up in the 2007-2011 era that fell in love breakdowns and crabcore, as well as the lyrics of the beautiful bands who came out of the Rise Records and Equal Vision Records families.

In the last 24 hours, there were four releases that everyone who lived through that time frame will go nuts over. First and foremost, Pierce the Veil released their comeback song, The Divine Zero, after three years of having not released any new music. The fan reception has been absolutely crazy, showing that this was hands down one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

The second most important release is Invogue Records’ very own Before Their Eyes. After releasing three albums via Rise Records, the band moved to their vocalist’s label, Invogue and had even broken up but decided to keep it going and it releasing their second self titled album this year! Here’s their newest masterpiece, Anything’s Possible In New Jersey.

Also in the spectrum of bands who had broken up, things weren’t looking too good for Native Suns after they went totally silent for a long time. The band, which has ex members of Of Machines and a few local bands have been putting out only the coolest songs having eclectic sounds only seen in other bands such as Idlehands and Artifex Pereo. Here’s their newest single, Lost.

Last but not least, we need to keep in mind Picturesque, which just dropped their first ever music video yesterday for their song Speak Softly. They have enough punch packed that you’ll be remembering them for a long time. Also make sure to check out our recent interview with them that happened earlier in the week.

This has been a message from SBN helping out all our fellow music lovers in finding only the best local and bigger size releases from all of your favorite artists.
