Metal/Hardcore band Change Is have released their debut album Insomnia digitally through Bandcamp as well as a Limited Edition 300 CD printing.
The concept behind the album is that each song represents a reason why I was up late and why life just seemed to turn gray. I decided to call the album Insomnia because all of these issues came to me at once, causing the sleepless nights that tested my limits. – Calvin Banning / Vocalist

Change Is are a multifaceted metalcore act who express aptitude with all manners of heavy music. Insomnia is as versatile as it is immersive, with “Eternal Sleep,” “Loss (Feat. Devin MacGillivray of Villains),” and “Haunted” all showcasing heaviness, catchiness and cunning displays of calculated savagery. Meanwhile, “’Til June” and “5 Months” are more subtle displays of dynamism, trading in aggression for atmosphere to catch the listener completely off guard. Finally, the quartet provide unexpected portions of rest that still keep the listener engrossed—especially “Ready to Turn In,” which will easily appeal to die-hard fans of Villains’ “Freudian Slip” or “Better off Alone.” Change Is are a versatile band that fill a large void in the grey area created by the gap between progressive post-hardcore and modern, murderous nu-metal. – Connor Welsh – New Transcendence

About Change Is:
From Saginaw, Michigan, Change Is is a 4 piece metal/hardcore band. Differing from the average music scene in the area, this emotionally driven band delivers hard-hitting lyrics and strives to be musically independent. As a follow up to their 2013 EP, “Shadows Past”, the band released their full-length album, “Insomnia” in 2015. The album shows definite growth and development in the band’s sound. Their efforts in the past year have put them on shows alongside national acts such as Monuments, Villains, Lionfight, Polyphia, Jamie’s Elsewhere, and Famous Last Words. 2015 has been a big year for the band with a new album, a tour, and even a set at Bledfest. These four dedicated artists aim to impress and inspire everyone who hears them.
