Seattle death grind faction, THEORIES, will return to the stage this Fall on a bout of live takeovers with iconic West Coast hardcore nihilists, The Infamous Gehenna. The band’s latest path of destruction begins October 22nd on their home turf and will raze seventeen cities, the trek drawing to a close on November 7th in Olympia. The tour follows THEORIES‘ successful Summer journey supporting Goatwhore, Black Breath and Ringworm.
Issues the band of the impending run, “Fuck a normal quote talking about how excited we are to share the road with the bands we’re touring with and pushing a new record or whatever. This tour, Gehenna and THEORIES plan on destroying everything everywhere we go, join us!”

THEORIES — featuring within their ranks current and former members of Samothrace, Skarp, and Book Of Black Earth among others — continues to grind their way from city to city in support of the decimating wares of their Regression full-length, released this Spring via Metal Blade Records. Tracked at The Red Room and The Boiler Room with producer/engineer Derek Moree (The Sword, Pelican, Minus The Bear et al) with mixing and mastering conducted by Visceral Sound’s Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Regression centers itself on the downfall of one’s own nation and all that it might encompass. Social unrest, economic uncertainty, mental anguish, environmental disasters – those left alive are lost and in ruins. Peace has solved nothing. Musically, the album reflects these themes, and on top of grind’s prototypical hyper speed blasts, listeners will find moments of dissonant groove and clarity, as well guitar leads that are not often heard within the genre. Regression stands asone of the most belligerent releases from Metal Blade in recent memory. Check out Regression now at iTunes or Spotify.

“Drummer Joe ‘Grindo’ Axler’s snare drums sound as if they could break coconuts, and his cymbals sound like they’re made of Gillette razorblades. Even by grind standards it’s an intense listening experience.” – Invisible Oranges
“Regression is a honed, utterly off-the-wall experience that is a blast to listen to from both a technical standpoint, and one that’s just looking to rage… Those into death metal or grindcore will find THEORIES much akin to bands like Misery Index, Cattle Decapitation and Pig Destroyer.” – Metal Injection
“Regression is not only a superbly performed assault on your senses, but more importantly, one with more substance and memorable moments than you will find on most records within the genre. Highly recommended.” – No Clean Singing
“Get this fucking album.” – Cvlt Nation
“THEORIES hits so many right notes on Regression that it would be easy to presume this was their third or fourth record.” – Heavy Blog Is Heavy
