Exclusive Pre-Release Album Review – Sworn To Oath (10 of 10)

SWORN TO OATH’s debut album is electrifying! Right off the bat their album starts with Outcast, a song about going against the grain and not giving a damn about how that makes you look. The whole album emanates fury and rebellion in a way to inspire individuality by breaking barriers in our minds that have been casted upon us by society’s norms.

Gave In To God is one of my favorites on the album which touches on the inner conflict people have when religion doesn’t seem to answer their questions in life:

“Searching keep searching

 Reflect without reflection

The consciousness of my pure intention

The perfect image of myself masked by pure evil, but im still searching on..”

Whether religion or any other ideology, there comes a point in everyone’s lives where they begin to question everything we’ve been taught to believe. Tom Shaw’s high screams backed by the fast-pace guitar of Dave Leese, combined with the trembling build ups by Al Junior on drums will make you want to tear down every barrier that stands in your way. Keep an eye out for the UK trio SWORN TO OATH and get their album Pillars, dropping next week on June 2, 2014.

10 out of 10!
