The group consists of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Anton Kellner with newer additions, Josh Lucas and producer Nolan Perry. With an old-school indie sound, a touch of twang, and huge choruses with gut-wrenching melodies the trio aim to deliver a renewed take on Country, Rock, Americana, Folk and even Pop. Kellner states, “There are electric indie rock elements, fused with alt-country banjo, western Americana lap steel, and sing-along pop choruses.” Anton Kellner & The Lone Stars did not always have “lone stars.” Kellner was once apart of Holding Onto Hope a Hardcore/Indie band on Come&Live Records. After touring the circuit for some time, Kellner found himself among the perfect musicians and group of talented friends who would eventually be a part of his next musical endeavor. Anton Kellner & The Lone Stars, formed in 2012, released their debut effort titled Sequences. The EP was recorded at Cue Studios (Michael Jackson, 311, Dave Matthews Band), produced by Louis Diller (HolyChild of Glassnote Records), and engineered by Dj Kyriakides (Maroon 5). With one successful EP under their belt, Anton Kellner & The Lone Stars are set to release their forthcoming full-length, You Were The Fire in the Summer of 2014.
