The Kooks’ reinvention continues with the release of stunning new single ‘Forgive and Forget’, taken from genre-defying album ‘Listen’, to be released September 9th on Astralwerks and available now for pre-order via iTunes and the band’s website.’Forgive & Forget’ will be available to download beginning onAugust 25 for fans that preorder the album.
Produced by young hip hop pioneer Inflo and Luke Pritchard ‘Forgive and Forget’ is a song oozing with joy from start to finish combining gospel singers, funky bass lines and a euphoric chorus that will be the sound of the summer.

The Kooks have already laid down the gauntlet for the year ahead with swaggering first taster ‘Down’, sumptuous second single ‘Around Town’, energetic third single ‘Bad Habit,’ and blistering sold out shows in New York City and Los Angeles. The songs have already received positive acclaim, with PopMatters hailing “‘Down’ is the best thing they’ve done in years and serves to signpost the band’s subtle change in direction (for the better) towards new soul and funk, not Pharrell-style funk, but old school 70s funk.”
