Orenda Fink’s “Holy Holy” which premiered this week on NPR. The track is from Orenda Fink’s new album Blue Dream which is out now on Saddle Creek. The video was filmed in Austin, TX by Michael Tully, the director of Ping Pong Summer.
“There is too much dissent in the world these days, or it sure seems that way to me. After listening to “Holy Holy” on an airplane last month, I was overcome with the desire to kick off 2015 in a creatively fulfilling way by putting three-and-a-half minutes of positive imagery into the world set to Orenda’s truly beautiful song.” Orenda told NPR, “”There is something uniquely human, flawed and beautiful, about our reactions to suffering in our own midst; and Michael’s video explores the complexities of those reactions. Sometimes it’s hard to remember our great capacity for empathy in the world we live in today, but it is there, it is always there- maybe with people you love, maybe with strangers, maybe on a city bus.”
