About Ana Sapphira:
The members of Ana Sapphira, a central New Hampshire based metal/hardcore band, are ambitiously bringing a sense of freedom, honesty, and passion to the music scene that has been long missed. Each member of the group brings unique elements that collectively create an aggressive presence that appeals to 90’s grunge, metal, and hardcore fans alike. Ana Sapphira formed in August of 2008 and has since released 2 well-received EP’s, a self-titled followed by their 2012 effort Damien. The group sought out the help of Karl Anderson and Darren Elder of The Wrecking at The Halo recording studio to bring their album Damien to life. The band has been a musical breath of fresh air in the New England music scene through encouraging others to find value in their own lives and to passionately chase a purpose filled life.
Even as a brand new act, Ana Sapphira wasn’t afraid to face challenges head on. The band performed at SoulFest, the largest Christian music festival in New England, for the first time in August of 2009. At the time, they were less than one year into their career as musicians with no previous recordings. This year will mark their 6th year playing the festival where they will open for acts like War Of Ages and Wolves At The Gate. The band also took the stage at the 2014 Imatter Festival in Elmira, NY after winning a battle of the bands competition. Ana Sapphira will perform at the Imatter Festival, a suicide prevention and awareness event, again in 2015. The band has opened for many national touring acts since their inception, such as For Today, MyChildren MyBride, August Burns Red, Impending Doom, Chelsea Grin, among others.
Ana Sapphira is looking to do even bigger things in 2015, including releasing a new album titled Edge Walker. The band recorded Edge Walker at Warrior Studio in Chapel Hill, NC with engineer/producer Al Jacob. According to vocalist Jonathan Lamper, “Edge Walker is about no longer settling for what I’ve always known. It’s about taking the risk on a purpose in life that’s much bigger than me and what’s always been comfortable.” The album is due out in June, and fans can look forward to Ana Sapphira doing what they do best – putting out heavy songs with strong purpose.
