Bristol, UK nu-metal/post-hardcore band Beyond Recall announced the upcoming release of The Mixtape EP for August 31st, 2015 to coincide with the band’s first ever UK headlining tour in early-September.
The band also released a lyric video for “Long Live Liberation (Mixtape Edition)“. The song is about the Libyan Civil War – also referred to as the Libyan Revolution – a 2011 armed conflict in the North African country of Libya, fought between forces loyal to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and those seeking to oust his government. “The track deals with me and my family watching a place that we call our second home changing and not being able to do anything about it” states the band’s frontman Zaid Elgahmi. “The only way for me to express my anger towards this situation was through my music”
