BRIAN MARQUIS SURPRISE EP RELEASE: ‘I MISS THE 90’S’

MAY 12 – Today, Brian Marquis announces the surprise release and premiere of I Miss the 90’s EP. His new, five-song release is now available streaming in full at AllstonPudding.com.

The EP is comprised of five covers of 90s favorites and features guest vocals by Vinnie Caruana (The Movielife, I Am the Avalanche), Will Noon(fun., Straylight Run) on drums, Julio Tavarez (The Black and The White, As Tall As Lions) on bass, and Doug Grean (ex-Scott Weiland, The Terpsichords) on piano/keyboards. The album is available for purchase now through MerchNOW, iTunes, AmazonMP3 and on cassette fromAntique Records.

“The 90s were a time where I was beginning to discover music on my own and it was an exciting time for me growing up at the peak of the grunge era and the height of MTV’s power to communicate through music videos to the masses. Though it was very hard to choose, I picked 5 of my favorite songs from the 90s to pay tribute to the artists and time in my life that ultimately got me hooked on becoming a musician and trying to take over the world, or at least a small part of it,” muses Marquis.

Marquis has just wrapped up a string of sold out tour dates supportingThe Dear Hunter and Northern Faces. This Summer, Marquis will perform daily and run production on the Acoustic Basement Stage on the 2015 Vans Warped Tour for the fourth consecutive year – a stage that he founded in 2011 under the guidance of Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman.

The semi-indoor tented stage features a wide variety of established acts performing acoustic sets, offering a break from the signature full-band stages of the massive annual touring festival. Artists who have performed on the stage include the likes of Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music/The Revival Tour), Into It. Over It., Transit, Anti-Flag, and many more.

Brian Marquis recently partnered with The Boston Globe for the premiere of his music video for “From Boston”, directed by Jorge Suarez. The video was filmed on the streets of Boston, featuring nearly every notable local landmark, and shows Boston through Marquis‘ eyes.

The video for “From Boston” is available now at BostonGlobe.com andYoutube.com/equalvision. The song comes from Marquis’ latest album –Blood & Spirits, where his deep, earthy vocals shine while offering introspective, poetic lyricism, undeniably catchy melodies and a dynamic collection of songs.
