California-based post hardcore quartet Broken Lips have debuted their vibrant new single and music video, “Chains of Grudge,” via BryanStars. The dark landscape set by the video mirrors the haunting melodies driven into the viewer by the female-fronted act. The song is the first released by the band in 2015, delivering a pop rock gleam with a post hardcore edge — making it a must-listen for all fans of the alternative scene.
Originally from Puerto Rico, the band re-located to America where they continue to grow musically — as shown in the “Chains of Grudge” video.

“Chains of Grudge” is about moving forward in spite of everything that tries to hold you back — like mistakes, doubt and criticism. We all have elements in our life which we can’t physically see, but we feel we can never overcome. This is represented by the ghost in our video. ‘These chains of grudge will end when I return to dust.” — Rubina Altreche, Broken Lips frontwoman
