Equal Vision Records labelmates Capsize and Better Off have both been announced as support on Defeater’s upcoming tour. Counterparts will serve as direct support and Hotel Books will open on the full US tour that will kick off on March 27 in Albany, NY.
Capsize has been on the road non-stop since the September release of their debut full-length album, The Angst In My Veins, including US tours with Being As An Ocean, Fit For A King, No Bragging Rights, and the Common Vision Tour with Counterparts, Hundredth, Handguns and more. The San Diego-based melodic hardcore outfit has also recently completed their first ever headline tour in Japan, which wrapped up last week. Prior to that, the band performed on the massively successful Impericon Never Say Die Tour in Europe with Terror, Stick To Your Guns, and Comeback Kid, which closed with a sold out crowd of over 1500 fans at the final date in Cologne (Germany).
Capsize has released two official music videos for “Linger” and “Pale” from The Angst In My Veins, which can be seen now atYoutube.com/equalvision. The band’s new tour video recap of their time in Japan is also out now via Youtube.com/capsizehardcore. An official live music video, featuring footage from their recent European tour, will be released in the coming weeks as well.
Nashville’s Better Off is currently touring in support of their new 7″ single “Meth Head” (produced by Saves The Day‘s Arun Bali), and their stunning debut LP (I Think) I’m Leaving, which was released in 2013. The band’s new music video for “Meth Head” can be viewed HERE.
Better Off has just wrapped up dates with Real Friends, as well as the Glamour Kills Tour where they performed alongside New Found Glory, We Are The In Crowd and Fireworks. They will next head out on a short run of dates with Motion City Soundtrack, with additional support from Vinnie Caruana, The Early November, Copeland and TEAM* on select shows. Better Off will join the tour this Friday, January 30, in Boston.
The band will then enter the studio in early February, to begin recording their highly anticipated sophomore album with engineer Matt McClellan (Being As An Ocean, Better Off) and producer Arun Bali (Saves The day, Better Off).
