San Diego deathgrinders, CATTLE DECAPITATION, will make their Decibel Flexi Series debut in the August 2015 issue with previously unreleased track, “Cannibalistic Invasivorism.” The ravaging new hymn – which will not appear on the band’s forthcoming new full-length, The Anthropocene Extinction – is currently available for public ingestion courtesy of MetalSucks.
Expounds frontman Travis Ryan of the tune, “One thing we learned from our last couple albums was that an album’s flow can make or break an album and it’s an often overlooked part of the album-making process. We ended up with a couple songs that got squeezed out of the album’s flow that were naturally then deemed ‘bonus tracks,’ and the track ‘Cannibalistic Invasivorism’ was one of them. It’s a song about doing away with pestiferous, invasive species of life through eating them, similar to the invasivorism movement by culinary artistes who use things like snails, squirrels, etc., or any animal/insect that need their numbers thinned down in any given area or ecosystem to have a positive impact on the region. Of course, in the ‘turning the tables’ nature of CATTLE DECAPITATION, in this song we find the target being the single most invasive species on planet earth: the human being. Enjoy!”

The Anthropocene Extinction is set for world wide release August 7th, 2015. Reenlisting Monolith Of Inhumanity producer Dave Otero (Allegaeon, Cephalic Carnage), CATTLE DECAPITATION returned to Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado, eager to revisit the close collaboration that helped bring that record to life. CATTLE DECAPITATION also enlisted a surprising array of guests to help achieve their vision. The one and only legendary Philip H. Anselmo lends his throat to “The Prophets Of Loss” while recent signee to his Housecore Records label, fellow San Diegan and friend of the band, Author & Punisher, brings forth the industrial damnation as an intro to the track “Plagueborne.” Additionally, Germany’s dark metal misanthrope, Mr. Jurgen Bartsch of Bethlehem, lends a spoken word piece in his native tongue to the apocalyptic final track “Pacific Grim.”
In conjunction with the record’s official unveiling, CATTLE DECAPITATION will appear on this year’s edition of the Summer Slaughter tour with Arch Enemy, Born Of Osiris, Veil Of Maya, Obscura and more. Slated to commence on July 28th in Denver, the trek will run through nearly two dozen cities, coming to a close August 24th in Los Angeles.
Prior to their Summer Slaughter stint, CATTLE DECAPITATION will appear at the Brick By Brick in San Diego, California on July 11 to play a special, advanced CD release show in honor of The Anthropocene Extinction. Joining CATTLE DECAPITATION for the occasion will be Author & Punisher, Noctuary, and Mortuus Terror. Those in attendance will have a chance to win some killer prizes courtesy of Metal Blade Records.
