Corey Lewin is a New York City-based singer-songwriter and guitarist whose catchy melodies and lyrical storytelling bring a fresh new sound to today’s pop-rock music. His songs incorporate elements of a softer songwriting style blended with upbeat acoustic rock, while drawing upon diverse musical influences. Corey’s passion shines through in his spirited vocal performances, clever emotionally-driven lyrics, and the soothing sounds of his acoustic guitar.
Growing up in Ridgefield, CT, Corey was always involved in something musical. He took drum and guitar lessons, performed in his high school musical theatre and choir, and performed locally with various bands. Upon graduating high school, Corey left music behind and moved to Washington, DC to attend The George Washington University, where he studied Political Communication and immersed himself in American politics. Following college graduation, Corey remained in the capital and began a career in politics, but he found himself unfulfilled and yearning to make music and begin performing again. He left DC to pursue his passion and returned to Connecticut, where he began voraciously writing songs and playing at local venues. Shortly thereafter, Corey moved to New York City to kickstart his music career.
A dynamic performer, Corey lights up the stage wherever he goes, including some of New York City’s most famous venues such as The Bitter End, The Bowery Electric, and more. Armed with only his acoustic guitar, a microphone, and a looping pedal, Corey captivates audiences by creating a full-band sound, weaving multiple layers of guitar, vocal harmonies, and percussion into his songs.
The Simple Love EP is Corey’s first major release. Set to make his official debut in the music world, and Corey Lewin views the EP as the beginning of many great things to come. Follow Corey Lewin on social media for updates and new music coming soon.
