Multi-instrumentalist musician, composer and producer, Cosmo Sheldrake, has released is debut EP, Pelicans We (Transgressive Records). The EP was mixed by alalal, who has previously worked with Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars, and Metronomy. Pelicans We features the acclaimed song “Rich” featuring collaborator Anndreyah Vargas. Earmilk called the song “purely infectious, laced with character and can probably elevate the worst of moods.” Hilly Dillly noted, ” he created a work of sonic art that’s irrefutably top-notch.”
Sheldrake’s Pelicans We EP is the product of many travels and influences, from trips down the Panama Canal to isolated islands populated entirely by scientists, to rainforests in remote coastal British Columbia. Armed with impish and irresistible logics, Sheldrake rehouses these newly gathered influences next to his love of British folk and nonsensical poetry. Cosmo has shared the title-track from the EP on SoundCloud.

Cosmo regularly performs on banjo, loop station, keyboards, double bass, drums, penny whistle, sousaphone, accordion and many more. He is an inspirational singer and improviser, and much of his work is concerned with play, nonsense and the sonorous environment.
He performed at a TEDx event in 2013 (watch here) and recently returned from New York, where he studied vocal improvisation with Bobby Mcferrin. Based in London, he recently composed the music for a series of Beckett plays at the Young Vic, and provided music for children’s hospitals and hospices.
