International multi-talented entertainer, Dalal, has had an impressive and busy 2014 working on her debut full-length album and releasing two singles to critical acclaim. The Austria-native penned an original song entitled “Superman” for the upcoming documentary, ‘Hair’, which was nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award. Just prior to that her sultry single “Suddenly” was nominated for an Akademia Music Award for Best Pop Song and two Artists in Music Awards (AIMA’s). Dalal also partook in the first annual Peace Fund Games celebrity paintball tournament to raise awareness and funds for children’s causes in support of children plagued by troubling issues – while also setting a world record for the largest paintball battle!
Dalal is rounding out her stellar year by unveiling her bilingual cover of “Once Upon A December” from the motion picture Anastasia. Dalal’s half-German, half-English rendition of the song can be found exclusively streaming today on AltSounds.com. When asked about the inspiration behind her rendition of “Once Upon A December”, Dalal shared, “Christmas for me is also a time for contemplation. I’ve always loved this song since I was a little girl… I love the nostalgic feeling the lyrics and melody evoke, a little melancholy, a lot of hope, a dance through time … I really love the German version of this song as well… so I just combined it with the beautiful original English one… I hope anybody who listens to this version will be taken back to memories that are so easily forgotten in time”
