“Between her awesomely refreshing positive attitude, soaring vocal melodies, and wide assortment of multicolored wigs, she’s that girl you grew up always wanting to befriend but just weren’t sure if you were cool enough to talk to or not.” – Trim Magazine

Tallahassee, FL // April 30, 2014 – Today, the powerhouse singer/songwriter Lauren Wilhelm also known as Dazy (The Girl) has released a stripped down version of her first single “I Told You So” exclusively on Purevolume.com. This video comes just a week after releasing the music video which premiered exclusively on Alternative Press, featuring long time boyfriend Derek Sanders of Mayday Parade. The music video and acoustic video were shot and produced by Mike Wilson in the comfort of Wilhelm and Sanders home studio.
The pair recorded the track in late 2013 with Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount. Wilhelm and Sanders detail their experience in the studio together, shooting the music video, and life at home in the latest in-depth interview with Property of Zack.
On a recent in studio visit with The Gunz Show, Wilhelm performed a soulful version of the popular The 1975 tune “Chocolate.” Due to popular demand Wilhelm shot a video filmed in her home studio by Mike Wilson which can be viewed here.
“There is something special about stripping a song down to its bare bones and Dazy does a great job with arrangement, giving the song her own sensual twist.” – Surviving The Golden Age
In other exciting news, Wilhelm will be performing on the Acoustic Basement at this summers Warped Tour in Camden, NJ (July 11, 2014). More information will be released soon!
