Elitist to Release Self-Titled Full-Length June 30

Los Angeles, CA’s Elitist announced that they will release their self-titled, sophomore full-length on June 30. They also released a new song called “Vision Red” and have launched preorders for the digital only release, both of which can be found at elitist.merchnow.com.

“This is the first track on the album. It’s one of the more energetic songs on the record and it just felt right starting it off with a bang!” shares vocalist Chris Balay. “We wanted to make a song that was really fun to play live to get people going! “Vision Red” is a great example of how we have evolved in our sound but stayed true to the hard hitting roots we love so much.”

Earlier this year, the band partnered with Alternative Press for the debut of their music video for “Numbered”. The music video was directed by Ernie Gilbert (Bayside, letlive., Set It Off) and can also be seen now at Youtube.com/equalvision!

The new album was co-produced by Daniel Braunstein (Volumes, Elitist) and Julian Rodriguez and recorded at DB Music Studios in Woodland Hills, CA and Parallel Focus Studios in Westlake Village, CA.

Standing out among the many memorable elements on the new album is Balay’s wildly dynamic vocal range, which offers a perfect contrast of both guttural screams and smooth, soaring cleans, that are backed musically with dark, heavy riffs, and an overall impressive technical prowess instrumentally.

To date, Elitist has self-released one full-length album: Reshape Reason (2012) and three EPs: Caves (2010), Earth (2011) and Between the Balance (2013), the latter of which charted on the Billboard New Artist, Hard Rock and Independent Albums charts.

Elitist is comprised of Chris Balay (vocals), Julian Rodriguez (guitar), Brian McGraw (bass), Ben Kazenoff (drums).
