| Following a triumphant set at Download Festival and tour dates alongside Allusondrugs, Attention Thieves, Freeze The Atlanic and Weak Nerves earlier this year, Leeds-based rock quartet Fizzy Blood are pleased to announce they will be supporting legendary punks Dead Kennedys on their upcoming August UK tour, featuring a stop at London’s Koko venue on17th August. Fizzy Blood’s debut single ‘January Sun’ is out now after premiering with finger-on-the-pulse music blog Goldflakepaint and receiving radio support from Jen Long & Ally McCrae at BBC Radio One, Alex Baker at Kerrang! Based in Leeds, UK, their refreshing musical bravery has seen them shed any traces of the generic with their own brand of retro-inspired rock. Packed full of blistering riffs combined with a modern song writing ethos, they’ve succeeded in creating something that stands apart from the current trend of rock music and stands with one foot in the desert blues of Queens Of The Stone Age and another firmly planted in the soulful, punk infused rock and roll of Pulled Apart By Horses.
