| Hamilton, New Jersey | May 22, 2014 – Just in time for the Memorial Day summer kickoff weekend, New Jersey native, Erin Bowman, has unveiled the official music video for her summer anthem “Hey Summer.” The single can be found in rotation on Sirius XM’s 20 on 20, Syracuse’s93Q, Q96 in Champaign, IL, and Utica’s 97.9/105.5 Kiss FM. The song was co-written and produced by Larzz Principato (Warner Chappell) with mixes done by Mark Everton Gray (Britney Spears, The Killers, Usher), and mastering by Bob Katz (author, ‘Mastering Audio: The Art and Science’). When asked about the inspiration behind the single and music video, Erin shared, “‘Hey Summer’ is all about the great summers you’ve had and the amazing summers up ahead that you’re excited about. Summer is such a great time of year no matter what age you are. It’s a feel good time and that’s what ‘Hey Summer’ is all about. I wanted to do a music video for ‘Hey Summer’ that was really quirky! I wanted to incorporate all 4 seasons and thought of the couch idea and knew it felt right! The 23-year-old independent pop-R&B artist is climbing her way to success with one single after another, finding herself in solid rotation on radio. Bowman has been singing her whole life in school performances, talent shows and malls all over New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, she began going to New York City to meet with producers, audition for production companies and even a few girl groups. At 18 she started working with a producer in New York and began writing and recording original music. With a stroke of luck, composer David Wolfert overheard one of Bowman’s tracks while working a few doors down from the studio. Wolfert, at that time, was looking for a female singer for Diamond & Pearl: Galactic Battles, the twelfth season of the Pokémon anime, and approached Bowman. She agreed to sing the opening theme song “Battle Cry (Stand Up!)” along with “Black and White” for Pokémon: Black & White, and “I Believe In You” for Zoroark: Master of Illusions. These Pokémon episodes are aired regularly on national TV through the Cartoon Network. Erin Bowman launched her solo career on November 1, 2011 with the release of her debut single “Problem”to top-40 radio in the United States. The first radio station to play “Problem” on a full-time basis wasSirius XM’s 20 on 20, where it became a top 5 requested song in less than 4 weeks. Other radio stations began to play “Problem” throughout the country and on May 21, 2012 the single debuted at #80 on theMediabase National Top 40 Airplay Chart. The song also aired on season 4, episode 4 of Bad Girls Clubin 2009 on the Oxygen Network. In early 2012 Bowman began doing promotional tours throughout the United States that included live performances and radio interviews. Some of Bowman’s first stops were Z100 New York, and Krave Las Vegas. By the end of the summer Bowman had appeared in 10 states and 17 cities. She continued in the Fall on tour with “Erin Bowman’s School of Pop Tour” performing in over 20 schools throughout the Mid-Atlantic States. In 2013 she released her second single “King Boy” which became the 5th most played song on SIRIUS XM 20 on 20 for the year and selling over 20,000 copies.
