April 9, 2015 – Los Angeles, CA – Pop-punk got a shot of adrenaline with the recent release of Hit The Lights’ new record, Summer Bones, and now the band has entered the ring with ESPN.com to premiere a hard-hitting, introspective new video for their song “Life On The Bottom.”

The “Life On The Bottome” video, directed by Kyle Thrash (Modern Baseball, RJD2), documents boxing newcomer Ismael Villarreal as he trains for and competes in his first fight at the Golden Gloves Tournament at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
“We’ve worked with Kyle Thrash so many times that we have complete trust in his ideas and abilities,” says vocalist Nick Thompson. “When he approached us about the idea for a video centered around Ismael, we were totally on board. The song made sense with Ismael’s struggles and it’s great to be able to give him some limelight while we take the back seat!”
“Every time I listened to the song I would always imagine this person training,” adds Thrash. “To me Ismael was a no brainer when it came to casting the video. He embodies everything the song is about. When I met him for the the first time and saw his drive and determination I knew he was the perfect fit. The kid trains six days a week with his father in the South Bronx at John’s Gym and lives and breathes boxing. He uses his god given talent to better himself and go after his dream with such a passion at such a young age, I couldn’t help but be inspired.
