As a precursor to Cloak Of Ash‘s official emergence next month, today the desolation-dealers a Cvlt Nation offer up second track, “Riverbeds Hewn In Marrow,” for public appreciation. Issues the band of the track, “‘Riverbeds Hewn In Marrow’ is about the frailty of human life. It is about holding your loved ones close, in a world that seeks to tear them away into the quiet.”
Adds Cvlt Nation, “Have you ever wondered what it feels like when all of existence is sucked into a black hole? Or when nature decides that the human plague has wreaked enough havoc, and it’s time for our species to go extinct? …’Riverbeds Hewn In Marrow,’ and the intensity of [HOPE DRONE‘s] music is enough to make one imagine the above scenarios.”
You can also sample first single, “Every End Is Fated In Its Beginning” at YouTube HERE or via SoundCloud HERE.
HOPE DRONE was forged in 2011 and have since released one demo, From Mimas To Phoebe, in 2012, and their self-titled, Sanford Parker-mixed LP in 2013 which was called, “fresh, invigorating and captivating,” by Cvlt Nation, “a bleak style of black metal strongly indebted to the Cascadian variety and played with surprising maturity and aplomb,” and “a band to watch,” by Teeth Of The Divine, and, “possibly the most devastatingly nihilistic recording I’ve ever heard, both instrumentally and lyrically,” by AngryMetalGuy.
