Wow. Just wow. What an amazing show.
Before this I had never seen any of these bands live, but this night just made me love them even more than I already did just from listening to them.
Webster Hall had three stages set up in different rooms, so I was only able to catch Seaway, Have Mercy, Transit, Handguns, and The Wonder Years, but they all blew my mind.
I had never heard of Seaway before tonight, they were pretty young kids and they rocked up there.
Have Mercy……..all I have to say is have mercy on me! But really. Dudes killed it. I had only heard one song by them before, Let’s Talk About Your Hair, and as soon as I got home I downloaded the rest of their songs. Lead singer, Brian Swindle, has an extremely unique voice that literally makes me melt into a puddle. Give these dudes a listen.
Transit and The Wonder Years were absolutely phenomenal and I’m having a hard time deciding which performance I liked more. The energy that both of these bands brings to the stage is awesome; they get the crowd so hyped up.
The lead singer of Transit, Joe Boynton, is awesome. They played some songs from their new album, Joyride, which was released in October, as well as some of their older songs and it all rocked. I highly suggest checking this band out HERE and buy their new album!
The show closed with The Wonder Years who honestly killed it. They had a great stage presence and joked around with each other in between each song and really got the crowd involved. I found myself embarrassingly screaming all of the lyrics at the top of my lungs, which ended up feeling less embarrassing when I saw everyone around me doing the same. This band is amazing and everyone of their fans that was there that night would tell you the same. If you haven’t already, check them out HERE.
