Catch up with Atlanta metalcore band Come And Rest

I had the chance to recently ask Atlanta metalcore band Come And Rest a few questions – they released their EP “Blacklist” earlier this summer and have been touring non-stop in support, currenly midway through a stint of dates with My Enemies and I and Lionfight, as part The Freaks and Fiends Tour.

Describe your sound to newcomers in 2-3 words.
Passionate, honest, exotic.

You recently released an EP “Blacklist” earlier this summer – how has fan response been?
It has been phenomenal. Deciding to be honest with ourselves is the best decision we have ever made. People have been resonating with it, and we are beyond stoked on that.

Favorite song to play live?
Right now it’s Millennials.

Your music video for Feeding Crows (Evermore) is an interesting visualette. What made you choose this over a traditional music or lyrics video?
We just wanted Something different from the norm. A visual representation of what the song was trying to say. We love simplicity so the video fit perfectly with what we are trying to portray.

You just finished the 2015 Grief Tour with Alteras. How did that go?
In all honesty it wasn’t very good. We love the dudes in Alteras but things didn’t run as smooth as we wish it could have! That’s ok though, we are on The Freaks and Fiends tour currently with My Enemies and I and Lionfight and it’s going smooth! [Dates below]

Necessities (clothing, instruments, food) aside, what are three things you must have on the road?
Phone. Hair tie for my manbun. Headphones.

Reverse touring: You’re from Atlanta, if fans ever visit, what’s one must-see location to visit?
I love little five points. Cool hip area with awesome brewery’s, vinyl stores and clothing stores that are on point. West Atlanta is sick too.

Like what you hear? Don’t miss Come And Rest on the final dates of The Freaks & Friends Tour!
