“Into It. Over It.” Premiere Video for “The Shaking of Leaves”

Into It. Over It. premiered their music video for “The Shaking Of Leaves” today via NPR. John Komar (Compositing) and Reza Iman (Art and Animation) directed video features Storyboards by Dana Terrance.

“John and I had been going back and forth perfecting this video for quite some time,” explained Evan Weiss to NPR Music. “The most difficult part was coming up with something for the bridge section of the song – conveying the lyrics (about a very serious and sensitive topic) while still giving the story an optimistic outcome. This song was written for my fallen friend Mitch Dubey. The video was designed and written with him in mind. I think he would have loved it.”

Building upon an already busy summer that saw Into It. Over It. take the stage at Lollapalooza and tour relentlessly in support of the breakout album Intersections, Weiss and co are poised to hit the road for another run of dates that will see them on the road through early November. In addition to multiple headline dates with Foxing and Kittyhawk, Into It. Over It. will join Mineral for the legendary Texas band’s reunion tour. Making time along the way for performances at FEST 13 in Gainesville, FL, Pygmalion Festival in Champaign-Urbana, IL, and a soldout show with American Football at Webster Hall in New York City this October.

Recorded at the legendary Soma Electronic Music Studios by producer Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Iron & Wine), Into It. Over It.’s new album Intersections was released in late 2013 and has been labeled “a breath of fresh air” by Stereogum, and described by The AV Club as Weiss’ most “self-assured” album to date. Alternative Press praised the album and its “clever wordplay” in a 4 of 5 star review and lauded by SPIN for its “raw and natural” feel.
