After an incredible summer of playing on the Ernie Ball Stage at Vans Warped Tour in Tinley Park, IL and releasing their hit single, “Drama King,” Jack Be Nimble is ecstatic to finally release new music again. A couple weeks ago, the Chicago, IL pop-punkers decided to give their fans an opportunity to hear their new single, “Count Me Out,” before anyone else during a YouTube Live Event and they are more than excited for everyone else to finally hear the track. Today, Jack Be Nimble has partnered with Under The Gun Review to release both their new single, “Count Me Out,” and its music video.

“Count Me Out” tells a story that everyone can relate to; each and every one of us have dealt with heartbreak throughout our life. Jack Be Nimble took this concept of heartbreak and created a hypothetical situation that listeners could relate to. The single was produced by Kevin Gates (The Ready Set, Never Shout Never). On the release of “Count Me Out,” vocalist Doug Chibe tells us:
“Count Me Out was written from a hypothetical standpoint, about dealing with the sudden dissolution of a long term relationship. It starts with an aggressive declaration of acceptance, followed by a melodic sing-a-long chorus. Everybody has dealt with heartbreak at some point in their lives, and Count Me Out helps ease the pain and emotions that are associated with it. I think this song is a big step forward for us in terms of creativity and versatility and it helps set the stage for what Jack Be Nimble is about.”
The group continued to tell this story of heartbreak through the plot of the music video for “Count Me Out.” In this video, you see the band come together to seek revenge on the girl who broke each of their hearts when she chose her Teddy Bear over them. Jack Be Nimble is thrilled to be closing out 2014 not only with a new single, but with several shows in the Chicagoland area with bands such as Sleep On It, The Millenium and Plastic Smiles; all of the dates can be found below.
