You may not be familiar with LANY yet, but you definitely will be…and sooner rather than later. The electronic pop-rock trio has only released 3 EP’s to date, yet they’ve managed to draw a great deal of attention to themselves, boasting a massive 26 million Spotify plays on the hit track “ILYSB,” which was just released last year. LANY’s style is simultaneously simplistic and infectious.
LANY played several festivals this summer and has been touring North America on “the kinda tour” since late September. The group’s attention to detail for this tour was evident as the stage looked drastically different from one track to the next to match the tone for each song. A giant LED screen sat behind each band member casting different images and colors throughout the set. Fans in Philadelphia danced and sang along to singer Paul Klein’s relatable lyrics from start to finish. Highlights of the set included “4EVER!,” “pink skies,” and “Made In Hollywood.” Keep an eye out for the band’s full-length debut next year.
