Growing up, each and every one of us, including pop-rock group Lion in The Mane, were exposed to fairytales and their happily ever afters. These Brooklyn New Yorkers took this typical storyline and brought it to a darker place with their lead single, ‘Bright Sunny Beautiful.’ Rather than the blissful happy ending, the group reminds listeners that you must often realize that love may not actually last forever. This single, along with the full album, was recorded at The Looking Glass Recording Studio with producers Kory Gable and Travis Hill (Capital Arms, Post Season) and mastered by Grammy Winning, Master Engineer Adam Ayan (The Band Perry, Hunter Hayes).
In addition to streaming their lead single, the group has officially released all of the details for their upcoming full-length album, ‘The Noise War.’ The album will be officially released on February 24, 2015 and you can find the official album artwork and tracklisting below. Lion in The Mane is thrilled to be closing out 2014 with a new single as well as with a series of dates with Delesea and Nick Thomas throughout November, as well as playing select show with Emblem 3; all of the dates can be found below. About Lion in The Mane:
In 2009, lead vocalist/guitarist Jon Masters, guitarist Dmitry Libman, drummer Johnny Coryn and bassist Henry D’Allacco came together in order to form the pop rock act, Lion in The Mane (formerly known as The Atlas). The following December, this group of Brooklyn, NY rockers first introduced their incredible wall of sound to a sizable, passionate, audience at The Music Hall of Williamsburg and haven’t slowed down since. With numerous tours and high profile shows under their belt, the band, which now features bass player/vocalist Zach Falkow and guitarist/keyboard player Andrew Lynch, has drawn comparisons to 30 Seconds to Mars, Angels and Airwaves and The Dangerous Summer. Lion in The Mane’s musical style has been described as “building crescendos with dynamic conclusions which indicates the work of experienced musicians with a conscientious attention to songwriting detail.”
The fervor of their incendiary live show and their capability create one of a kind rock anthems like “The Way We’re Wired,” the title track off of their 2011 self-released debut EP, has propelled them to that “my new favorite band” status of many. Since the release of their debut EP, “The Way We’re Wired,” the band has toured the country multiple times over, including showcases at CMJ, SXSW, Florida Music Festival and Launch Music Festival, all the while writing and demoing hours of new material in preparation for a follow-up full length release.
In November of 2013, armed with a batch of their best new songs, Lion in The Mane piled into their van and headed down to The Looking Glass Recording Studios in North Atlanta, Georgia to record “The Noise War” with producers Kory Gable and Travis Hill. The record was mastered at the world famous Gateway Mastering Studios in Portland, Maine by Grammy Winning, Master Engineer Adam Ayan. The band’s lead single “Bright Sunny Beautiful” is due out before year’s end, with the release of “The Noise War” to follow in early 2015.
Although there are often many uncertainties throughout a band’s career, one thing remains certain for this group: Lion in The Mane is poised and ready to be the next global sensation.
