With just a few years of experience and two EPs under her belt, Australia’s Mallrat is just getting started. Since her debut EP Uninvited, she has garnered 1.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, while racking up 17 million listens on her most popular track to date, “Groceries.”Combined with deeply relatable lyrics and catchy beats, her voice is nothing short of infectious. Currently touring North America supporting gnash, Mallrat is drawing her own crowd to each show, and it won’t be long before she’ll be headlining her own gigs here. We had the pleasure of catching her performance in Orlando where fans sang and danced along to every song and chanted for an encore when her set came to an end.
Mallrat’s new collaborative track with Basenji, “Nobody’s Home,” has stirred up excitement for (hopefully) a forthcoming full-length record. Her upcoming Australian tour of the same name is nearly sold out and in such high demand that there are four consecutive dates in Melbourne alone. Listen to the track below, and be sure to get your tickets to an upcoming date near you HERE.
