Unbelievably, it’s been four years since the release of their runaway-underground-success debut album Days That Shape Our Lives and now Blackpool band (and one of the originators of the current UK pop punk scene) Me Vs. Hero are finally ready to reveal the first taste of their new material as they give away ‘Marks Of A Slave’ – the first track to be taken from forthcoming second album I’m Completely Fine – as a free download.
“Like fun boiled down and turned into soundwaves” – Rock Sound
“Perfect feel good hits for the summer” – Kerrang!
“Infectious, fast paced and as catchy as hell” – Punktastic

Speaking of the track, the band have this to say:
It’s taken a long long time and pushed us more than people know, but we finally have an album that we couldn’t be more proud of. We want to thank everyone who’s stuck by us for all their patience and as a gift, we are giving away a track from from our second album ‘I’m Completely Fine’ which is due out later in the year. ‘Marks of a Slave’ is one of our favourites from the LP, we hope people feel the same. Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
Cheers,
Me Vs Hero
Written and originally recorded in 2012, the recording process behind the new album was far from smooth as line-up changes and technical issues plagued a band who were hungry to push forward as quickly as possible with new music. After a nightmare two years, the band were finally rescued by long-term friend Romesh Dodangoda who took on production duties, and by January 2014 they had finished producing the tracks in time to embark upon a headline tour of mainland Europe supported by Cheshire pop-punks Above the Underground.
With an already prestigious live schedule under their belts after touring alongside New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Deaf Havana, Four Year Strong and Set Your Goals to name just a few, not to mention shows with Mayday Parade and With The Punches across the whole of Japan, they can also count appearances at Slam Dunk, Sonisphere, Stage Dive (Stockholm), Relentless Boardmasters, PowerFest (Amsterdam) and Hevy Music Festival in their arsenal.
Tour dates and further details of new material TBA.
