New Amsterdam Records is excited to share the Rob Moose (yMusic, Bon Iver) remix of “The Human Plague,” the Sufjan Stevens composition from yMusic‘s recently-released full-length Balance Problems. Moose’s reworking of “The Human Plague” is the first in a weekly series of yMusic remixes to be presented on Q2. The series will begin with remixes by Rob Moose, S Carey, and Yuka Honda, with more exciting artists to be announced in the coming weeks. The remix series ushers in the start of New Amsterdam’s 2014 Fundraiser, which will culminate in their Winter Benefit on December 15 at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn. Full details about the Winter Benefit can be found below.
Balance Problems is the Son Lux-produced sophomore release from yMusic — a group of six New York City instrumentalists (Rob Moose, CJ Camerieri, Alex Sopp, Hideaki Aomori, Nadia Sirota and newly-added cellist Gabriel Cabezas) flourishing in the overlap between the pop and classical worlds.
