“After a few of these Indie Rock Ranger Spectacular shows in the winter, stressing potential snow storms and trudging to the clubs through the slush, I decided that it would probably be better to do one of these in the summer, so here we are. I thought long and hard about this lineup, and I’m pretty proud of the results – these are four bands that you can’t ignore, bands that can take a crowd of people who aren’t really familiar with them and have them hooked by the end of the song. They’re different musically, but alike in that respect, and that will make for a pretty wonderful night.”

Grandiose, over the top power pop with a healthy dose of classic rock. Incredibly solid musicianship allows them to run wild, piling on antics and costume changes and glitter and glam that would be too much in less capable hands; they’re able to hold it all together though, and leave crowds sweaty and elated.

Theatrical chaos from the North Shore with influences that can’t be nailed down because the second you start processing what they’re doing, they move on to something else. They tour all the time, and putting that much crazy in a van for long periods of time has definitely had an effect, but luckily they put it all on display when they hit the stage.
Classic Boston rock ‘n roll from a newish band with a pedigree that can’t be denied. Kicked in the Head frontman Gary Hedrick’s new project – less hardcore, more traditional rock ‘n roll, but the same intensity. These are guys that have been around the block, and they’ve got staying power for a reason.

These kids are a party that got out of control. They’re energetic and young in the best possible way; there’s a lot of music that’s come before them, and they’re gonna have fun with all of it, rolling it into their indie pop…anthem pop…shouty sing-a-long pop…whatever it is.
