REACTIONS ONLINE:
Formed in 2011, hailing from Phoenix, Arizona REACTIONS consist of Michael Amorosia, Steve Splain, Josh Brown, and Nick Ayres. Combining their love for all things Metal, Pop, and Punk REACTIONS linked their pop/rock sound to form a more rock/post hardcore style integrating big choruses and melodies.
REACTIONS was founded on one question: “Music is something you hear, right?” In an era consumed by an obsession with appearance, the concept of “hearing” might as well be non-existent. REACTIONS launched the faceless movement soon after the band formed in 2011, until now. Amorosia explained “we wanted to ask people what their reaction to the music was not based on our image as a band.”
REACTIONS debuted their first EP, Under My Skin (produced by Dan Parker [A Change of Pace, The Summer Set, Hello Hollywood]) in 2011. Fast forwarding, the band released their sophomore EP, For What It’s Worth, (produced by Curtis Douglas [The Maine, Blessthefall, This Century)] in January 2012 which defined their post-hardcore sound. Following the EP release, REACTIONS attracted the attention of YouTube tastemaker Bryan Stars for the release of their single, “The Missing” which has over 50,000 views to date. The track later made the cut on their EP Archtypes also released in 2012. Immediately after this release the band toured extensively coast to coast through 2013 landing them a few showcases at SXSW. Following their stint at SXSW the band released “Rebirth” again exclusively on Bryan Stars Youtube channel which has over 21,000 views to date.
