Watch Music Video for Schwartzman’s “It’s You”
Today the soundtrack to acclaimed 2014 independent film Palo Alto is released, featuring an instrumental score and other songs by Robert Schwartzman. Directed by Schwartzman’s cousin Gia Coppola, the film stars Emma Roberts, James Franco, Nat Wolff, and Jack Kilmer. Released this month on VOD, the film debuted at #2 on iTunes. Schwartzman previously scored Gia’s fashion videos and short films; Palo Alto is their first feature together. Dev Hynes of Blood Orange also contributed to the music.

About the album, Schwartzman said: “Very happy to release my score album and other material recorded and inspired by the film Palo Alto. It’s been a fun ride collaborating with my cousin Gia; I’ve had the opportunity to contribute score to her fashion shorts and other videos she directed, so it’s all been building up to this feature film. I started working on this music in Los Angeles in Spring of 2013 and it’s great to finally make it available for everyone.”
