UK duo Royal Blood’s current single “Little Monster” topped the Mediabase and BDS Active Rock Radio Chart yesterday, marking the band’s first No. 1 at the Rock Radio format. “Little Monster” was also the third most played at Apple’s Beats 1 last week, with 23 plays in seven days.
Last month following a remarkable appearance on the Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM as well as pummeling sets at the Governor’s Ball and Bonnaroo Festivals, their Warner Bros. Records self-titled debut album skyrocketed to No. 5 on the Billboard Album Charts. Originally released last August the album has sold over 850,000 copies around the world. Royal Blood are currently in the U.S. for shows supporting Foo Fighters. For a complete list of upcoming dates, see below or click HERE.

^ Supporting Foo Fighters
Royal Blood is 24 year-old vocalist/bassist Mike Kerr and 27 year-old drummer Ben Thatcher. The duo’s sound is a result of a lineage that stretches from present day heroes Queens of the Stone Age to the influential Led Zeppelin, and all the way back to early blues pioneers… yet this huge wall of sound emerges from just two men and two instruments. The band’s ferocious approach to the drums and bass have led them to be hailed as one of the most exciting forces in live music. Entertainment Weekly praised the band’s “muscle-car riffs and bluesy snarls”, while Rolling Stone proclaimed “the band is surely well on its way to becoming a household name.” Pitchfork noted the band’s “crushing, contorted groove” and “telepathic sense of connectivity”. USA Today declared them “the biggest breakouts in rock this year.”
