Fresh off winning two NME Awards last week for ‘Best Live Band’ and ‘Best New Band’, UK duo Royal Blood have won ‘Best British Group’ at the BRIT Awards, which took place this past Wednesday in London. The band beat out nominees Alt-J, Clean Bandit, Coldplay, and One Direction and was presented the award by Jimmy Page. Watch the band perform their song “Figure It Out” below:
Royal Blood will spend the majority of 2015 touring North America, including headlining dates, festival appearances, and arena dates supporting Foo Fighters. See below for a complete itinerary.
Royal Blood’s self-titled debut album was released on August 25th by Warner Bros. Records and debuted at Number 1 on the UK Album Chart. Shortly after, the album was nominated for the UK’s prestigious Mercury Prize. The album has sold over 500,000 copies globally and been streamed over 35 million times on Spotify alone.
