May 28 – Tampa, FL’s Set It Off has announced their summer tour plans: a full US co-headline run with Our Last Night, featuring support from Heartist and Stages & Stereos. The tour will be presented by IDOBI Radio and Hope For The Day, and also sponsored by Glamour Kills.
Set It Off is currently in Los Angeles, recording their sophomore full-length album with producers Brandon Paddock [Avril Lavigne, Christina Perri, Timeflies], Tommy English [We Came As Romans, Megan & Liz, Black Veil Brides], and Matt Appleton [Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, Foxy Shazam].
The band’s forthcoming album was included in Alternative Press’ ‘Most Anticipated Music of 2014’ Issue and is expected to be released in Fall 2014.
Prior to entering the studio, Set It Off completed a massively successful US tour with We Are The In Crowd, William Beckett, State Champs and more. The band was also featured on the popular Punk Goes… compilation this past year, for their original holiday-themed song called “This Christmas (I’ll Burn It To The Ground)”.
With a new album on the way, this upcoming summer run is expected to be Set It Off‘s final tour in support of Cinematics, their debut full-length album that was originally released in September 2012 and re-issued as an expanded edition this past summer. The reissue features four extra tracks – including two brand new songs “Partners In Crime” (featuring Ash Costello of New Years Day) and “Kill The Lights”, as well as an acoustic version of “Dream Catcher” and a remix of “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead”. A music video for “Partners In Crime” can be found on youtube.com/equalvision. Cinematics‘ impressive debut earned the band charting positions on the Billboard Top 200, Independent Albums, and Heatseekers charts.
Following the release of the album, the band and Equal Vision Records donated over $5,000 to VH1 Save The Music Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education programs in America’s public schools and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education.
Set It Off has toured nearly non-stop throughout the US, Canada, Japan and UK/Europe, since the release of Cinematics, with the likes of Yellowcard, We Came As Romans, Chiodos, Tonight Alive, I the Mighty, the 2013 Vans Warped Tour and many more.
Set It Off is comprised of Cody Carson (vocals), Dan Clermont (guitar), Zach DeWall (guitar), Maxx Danziger (drums), and Austin Kerr (bass). All upcoming tour dates can be found below.
