Boom Forest is excited to announce the upcoming release of the new album Post Knight Errant, out November 6th. The first single from the record, “Silver Hair”, streaming now via SoundCloud. Hilly Dilly writes that “with roots firmly embedded in the grounds of experimental-folk, Boom Forest continues to explore their considerate introspective thoughts… …the energetic drive that propels the single is a welcome addition to their nurtured sound.” This Fall Boom Forest will hit the road with good friends in Kopecky in between performances at Austin City Limits music festival this weekend, and as part of the Red Bull Sound Select: 30 Days In LA festival this November.

Boom Forest is the musical outlet for Nashville based and Baraboo, WI grown musician John Paul Roney. As part of the Boom Forest project, Roney has developed a mythology surrounding the music, and when recorded and on stage, performs as John Rayne, “a techno-evangelist bard from a post-apocalyptic American future.” Through their albums and live shows, Boom Forest aim to engage and transport their listeners to this alternate reality, even if only for a an hour.
