Gas City, Indiana – September 4, 2015 – Self proclaimed “millennial rockers” The Drama State are gearing up to make a name for themselves with their upcoming sophomore full-length album. The Midwest quintet pressed ‘The Quiet Life’ – a 3-song summer sampler – which they shared with fans along the 2015 Vans Warped Tour. Today marks the official release of the second track from that sampler, “Pool House Envy,” which features AJ Perdomo (ex-The Dangerous Summer). “‘Pool House Envy’ was inspired by something everyone experiences – their first love,” says vocalist Ryan Diskey. “In my experience it didn’t end badly really it was just something that needed to happen. The line ‘you never caught on to it when I said…’ explains the entire situation the song was written about. I never said ‘I love you’ directly but the actions and the feelings were definitely there. It’s about loving and letting go and that being okay.” The Drama State are proud to partner with Substream to exclusively unveil this strong yet emotionally vulnerable track. The Drama State Bio The Midwest quintet has honed their distinct style of upbeat millennial rock with catchy hooks and infectious energy. The band, consisting of Ryan Diskey, Ronnie Ish, Ramsey Hall, Mike Babb, and Eric Hewitt, channels local experiences to craft a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh. The Drama State strives to create music that is classic – music that defines rather than transcends. The band officially formed in June of 2012, just two months before their debut full length album Stories was delivered to the iTunes store. Their name arose from universal small town politics, specifically from the relatable perils of local gossip. Emerging from former projects with a collective sense of direction and purpose, The Drama State set out to write and record an album despite the seemingly mundane challenges most bands meet and contend with along the way. Since their formation, the band has released their full length album “Stories” in addition to successfully touring across the country numerous times and holding a presence on the 2013 Vans Warped Tour. In 2015, they pressed “The Quiet Life” EP – a 3 song summer sampler that was promoted on the ’15 Vans Warped Tour. The band is currently working on their sophomore full-length release with no intention of slowing down or letting up. They are ready to bring their engaging ‘head held high’ vibe to even more people across the globe. Bring the noise. Bring the ruckus. Bring The Drama State. Keep Up With The Drama State: |
