THE EVERYMEN ADD TOUR DATES WITH THE WAR ON DRUGS

Ernest Jenning Record Co. is excited to announce that The Everymen, the uncontested torchbearers of New Jersey party rock, have added several June dates supporting The War On Drugs. The Everymen begin touring on May 23 at Moonlight Mile in Jersey City, NJ to celebrate their 5th year as a group, and after a show at Brooklyn‘s Rough Trade on June 4, their run with The War On Drugs will begin on June 8 at Water Street Music Hall in Rochester, NY. After finishing their dates with The War On Drugs on June 20 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., they’ll head back to New Jersey on July 3 for a night at Tuckerton‘s Lizzie Rose Music Room. The full list of tour dates is below, with more to be announced soon. To ring in the tour announcement, the group has shared a cover of “Anytime You Want” from 90’s Vancouver mainstays Eric’s Trip. The cover is available to stream or embed HERE.

The group has also been hard at work recording the follow up LP to Givin’ Up On Free Jazz. The record was tracked in famed music haven Muscle Shoals, AL with Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes). More news on the LP is forthcoming.

Aside from performing over 200 shows in the past year, the group has had quite a bit going on. Most recently, they released the video for “NJHC” from their 2014 full-length Givin’ Up On Free Jazz. The video — a paean to their home state of New Jersey that culminates in a list of almost every famous Jerseyan — was released in a one-of-a-kind premiere via many of New Jersey’s most prominent entertainment outlets and institutions. Since forming in 2009, The Everymen have quickly built a rock solid resume thanks to their tireless touring ethic and a reputation as one of the hardest working and most exciting live bands around.

Standing as many as nine members strong, The Everymen are reminiscent of the E Street band in stature, Rocket From the Crypt in searing energy, Meat Loaf in production and The Replacements in boozy, backroom party vibes.
