St. Petersburg, FL | June 1, 2014 – St. Petersburg, FL Ska-Infused band, UNRB successfully blend traditional reggae and ska rhythms with modern alt-rock aesthetics. With several releases under their belt, today UNRB are thrilled to announce a brand new EP entitled Collateral Jammage due out July 7, 2015. Collateral Jammage features “The House on Lime Street” and “Figure It Out” which were produced, recorded and mixed by Blackerby & Dave Kaminsky; “Collateral Jammage” and “Id” were produced, recorded, and mixed by Zack Odom & Kenneth Mouth; Mastered by Tom Morris. UNRB had this to note about the forthcoming release:
“We’re absolutely in love with Collateral Jammage from top to bottom. It’s our best songwriting yet, the whole band brings their A game on the record and the production quality is superb. It’s the culmination of all our efforts up to this point and you can feel the energy pulsing every track. This is the album that we want to represent UNRB and we’re proud to have it serve as many people’s introduction to the band as we spread our sound across the country.”
To add to the excitement, UNRB are set to perform at this years Summerfest (alongside The Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder and more). The band will be embarking on the “Bottoms Up Tour” starting in their hometown of St. Petersburg and winding their way up the middle of the states to Summerfest. To kick off their exhilarating summer of touring the band has set their EP release show for June 17th at The Local 662. Tickets may be purchased here!
“Embarking on this tour is a huge step for UNRB, one that we’re still in disbelief that we get to take. Traveling to Summerfest and back isn’t just the trip of a lifetime for us- it shows the true potential of what this band can achieve. As excited as we are to be bringing a new album on the road with us on our biggest tour ever, we’re already talking about ways to continue our success as a band and consistently deliver quality performances and products for our fans. Because none of this- the new album, the cross-country tour, the UNRBus- would be possible without the love and support we get from our fans.”
FOR MORE INFORMATION ON UNRB:
UNRB is a ska-fusion band from St. Petersburg, FL that blends traditional reggae and ska rhythms with modern alt-rock aesthetics. They have won the hearts of Floridians since their inception in 2010, due in large part to their high-energy live performances which the Tampa Bay Times describes as “pure, unadulterated, forget-you’re-an-adult-for-45-
The Gulf Coast band’s bright sound is aided by the use of an electric ukulele instead of a guitar and bolstered by a four-piece horn section, which combine to create a sonic landscape as complex as it is whimsical. UNRB put out their debut album “Inform the Masses” in 2013 and are set to release their new EP “Collateral Jammage” on June 17th, 2015– coinciding with their first national tour which includes a performance at Summerfest as direct support for Dirty Heads.
