Just the day before Vanna’s kick ass performance at the Wantagh, NY location of the 2016 Vans Warped Tour, they released their new album, All Hell. For years, Vanna has easily been one of my favorite bands. Their set that morning was the first for that stage, so I made sure to get there early so I didn’t miss it. They played a nice mix of new and old songs, which was awesome.
I’ve only seen them live twice (this being the second), and both times they had a solid, exhilarating, and energetic show. Davey makes sure to get the crowd riled up every single song they play, occasionally joining them in the pit. I’d have to say that Vanna gave the most entertaining and engaging performance I saw that day.
What I love about Vanna is how they are such down to earth, respectful, and humble guys – even their merch guys is a w e s o m e. At the end of their set, they headed back to their tent for a signing and poster give-away. Being the huge fan that I am, I made sure to rush there and was second in line. Granted you really just get three minutes to chat with them at most, I was still able to have a nice little chat with all the guys.
