Southern Mass. // June 13, 2015 – Massachusetts indie-rockers WAR GAMES have premiered their official music video for their latest single “Foundations” via ArtistDirect yesterday! Compiling personal, stage and studio footage the video provides for an intimately exclusive view of the band, bringing their music closer than ever.
Highlighting the band’s personal footage from their recent U.K. tour, the video also featured never-before-seen footage from Warped Tour 2012 and 2014 as well as material from studio sessions with Ace Enders (The Early November). Combined, they build a cohesive insight to the band’s experience, growing success and internal dynamics.
“Our new music video for ‘Foundations’ was developed from footage we shot ourselves in March, while on tour in England,” commented vocalist Kyle Therrien. “I feel that sharing tour footage is a great way to stay connected with our listeners and provide people with a first-hand view of what touring is like for a band like ours. We’ve made a lot of great personal connections – they are important to us and make up our friends, fans and support system both in the USA and across the world. It’s that very support system which enables us to reach new heights, and accomplish goals such as touring abroad. I feel as if we owe our supporters a first hand look at what their endless support has helped us accomplish, and this video does just that.”
“Foundations” comes off their debut full-length album Holding Patterns which was released earlier this spring. As War Games guitarist Ian Provost stated, “‘Foundations’ represents the overall feel of the record being dark yet uplifting, like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!” The album can be purchased direct from the band via Etsy as well as digital distributors Itunes, Bandcamp and Spotify. The band played their first U.S. shows since the UK at Brooklyn’s Northside Festival, and will be playing their first hometown show tonight, June 13th, at The Met in Pawtucket, RI alongside Half-Hearted Hero, Commuter and Michel.
