WEATHERBOX UNVEIL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “PAGAN BABY”
NEW ALBUM FLIES IN ALL DIRECTIONS DEBUTS AT 28
ON BILLBOARD HEATSEEKERS CHARTS
ANNOUNCING NORTH AMERICAN SUMMER TOUR DATES
Weatherbox are excited to debut the music video for “Pagan Baby” in advance of their upcoming summer tour in support of the recently released album Flies In All Directions. Debuting at 28 on the Billboard Heatseekers charts, the first full-length release in over half a decade from the “smart, raucous San Diego combo,” writes Entertainment Weekly, “draws its passionate thrust from front-man Brian Warren’s struggles with psychosis. And despite the heavy feedback and punishingly sharp sadness,” they note, “[Weatherbox] still dabble in radio-friendly sugar without ever weakening their teeth.” Upcoming summer tour dates below.

Directed by Max Moore, the video for “Pagan Baby” pays homage to The Replacements as a modern take on their iconic video for “Bastards of Young”, which consisted of a single unbroken shot of a speaker, kicked over at the end of the song.

Weatherbox have been favorably compared to “the mutant offspring of Cursive and The Dismemberment Plan,” by The Onion AV Club, and MTV Buzzworthy writes that Warren crafts “perfectly polished post-punk rock that would fit in nicely on a playlist with the likes of TheHold Steady.” Mixed by Ben Moore (Hot Snakes, Rocket From the Crypt), Flies In All Directions catalogs the years that lead up to and have followed the band’s first two albums, revealing sordid history comprised of strained friendships, setbacks, and drug induced psychosis. Many of his demons traverse the landscape on, Flies In All Directions, an eclectic, poignant and emotional triumph that continues an evolution from band’s visceral American Art to the mercurial sophomore effort The Cosmic Drama, the bands last LP, released in 2009.
