(Lodi, CA) – Rock band A Skylit Drive has released a lyric video for their song “Shadows” off their new album Rise: Ascension. An acoustic re-imagining of the band’s breakthrough 2013 album Rise and Pre-orders for Rise: Ascension are available now and every purchase includes an instant download of the first single “Pendulum.”
For the new record, the band enlisted platinum producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Something Corporate, The Rocket Summer) who worked with the group on the pre-production of Rise. They didn’t simply mic acoustic guitars and record coffee shop versions of the songs however; they instead re-worked the pieces into standalone compositions featuring piano, cello, bass, and other assorted instruments. A Skylit Drive has toured extensively with similar artists like Blessthefall, Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil, and Of Mice & Men; as well as contributing songs to the well known compilations Punk Goes Classic Rock and Punk Goes Pop Vol 4.
