Another October, Grand Rapids’ versatile pop-rock band has debuted their thrilling new album today! Prefix was Produced & Mixed by Matt Giroux and Mastered by Dan Shike and is available for stream exclusive with Artist Direct now! After a few member changes, Another October are excited to unveil this new direction and sound to their fans. No strangers to the world of music, Another October’s musical backgrounds create a high-energy chemistry that illuminates through their songs and performances. In specific, Prefix explodes with loud electric guitars with a harmony-driven vibe to craft their own sound. The band opted to title all of their songs opening with the prefix “re” beginning with their single “Remember” which premiered exclusively on Buzznet (view music video here). The 11 track album is defined by the band’s vocalist Chen Flakes:
“We really wanted to play with the word Prefix, giving it a double meaning while also visually alluding to the cycle of seasons; destruction and regrowth (Another October)”
Another October combines explosive electric guitar with a harmony-driven vibe to create their own versatile, pop-punk sound. Grand Rapids, Michigan natives Chen Flakes, Zach Burger, Nick McAnallen and Kaleb Lorrain make up this unique four-piece. No strangers to the world of music, Another October’s musical backgrounds create a high-energy chemistry that illuminates through their songs and performances.
After the release of their first EP titled “Storage Stories” in the Spring of 2012 buzzed among their fans, they landed a spot to showcase their talents on the Vans Warped Tour. Another October has continued to build momentum taking the stage with other bands such as Hawthorne Heights, Every Avenue, For the Foxes, Go Radio, Sparks the Rescue and more. After teaming up with New Age Management in 2013, the quartet released the infectious video for their first single “Reattach” that gained over 50k views on YouTube.
Always finding ways to push their limits and refine their raw pop-punk roots, Another October sets themselves apart from the rest. With their original energetic sound, the band is a crowd pleaser of any music lover to say the least.
