Atlanta, GA | May 28, 2015 – New band, Avenue of the Giants, are helping the rock genre make a comeback by meticulously combining their love of arena rock influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin and Foo Fighters, with three part harmonies reminiscent of Queen. The Atlanta-based outfit released their scorching debut album, Just Between Us, to an amazing response on September 9, 2014. Produced by their bandleader, Fazal “Foz Rock” Syed at Treesound Studios, AOTG also enlisted executive producers Vinny Kumar, and Paul Diaz (owner of Treesound Studios), with additional production by band mates Darrick Atwater and Paul-Devon LeWow.

Keeping the spirit of Just Between Us alive in 2015 while they tour to this summer in support, Avenue of the Giants partnered with INKED Magazine today to unveil their official music video for their latest single, “#FTW.” The video was directed by award winning director/actor Clifton Collins Jr. (Triple 999, Pacific Rim, Traffic, Star Trek, Parker), who also directed Zac Brown Band’s CMA award winning “Chicken Fried” video. Collins Jr. also has a small cameo in the “#FTW” video along side Canadian model/actress Theresa Longo, which was filmed on the set of the upcoming feature film Triple 9, starring Woody Harrelson, Kate Winslet, Aaron Paul, Norman Reedus, Casey Affleck, and Clifton Collins Jr. amongst many other stars. Directed by John Hillcoat (The Road, Lawless) the film was shot in Atlanta, GA which allowed the band to work around Clifton’s busy shoot schedule.

More on Avenue of the Giants
Beginning as a writer duo in the winter of 2011 after deriving from previously successful bands, guitarist, Foz Rock (REHAB, hit single “Sittin at a bar/ Bartender song”) and vocalist, Paul-Devon LeWow (Lazyeye, signed to Ludacris’ DTP Records) wanted to create a project full of passion and honesty. Before the band was conceived, Foz’s life was spiraling out of control during time with his previous band, REHAB. Thankfully a friend took him to the Redwood Forest in NorCal named Avenue of the Giants. There, Foz had an epiphany, feeling in tune and grateful about life. Thus, naming the band after a once in a lifetime experience that has influenced him from then on. Just Between Us is filled with innuendos of this experience, life, and more making this album their most personal to date.

Paul-Devon explains how the concept for the new album came about:
“We came up with the name for the album over breakfast on day one. In between bites we basically were saying that we wanted the music written to come through such that it were though the listener was having a ‘Just Between Us’ type moment… That just kind of stuck… Whether it’s the driving anger fueled rage of ‘Burn,’ the honest messaging of ‘#FTW,’ or the heartfelt passion of ‘Innocence’ we made it our mission to involve the listener by making music that would evoke feelings they might relate with… the human experience is one that is best shared.”

Spawning off their smash single “So You’d Like to Think” (winner of the 2014 Video of The Year at the Georgia Music Awards) and their song “Burn” which is currently the number one video on IndiMusic.TV Avenue of the Giants is happy to announce they are in the studio working on their highly anticipated second album “Whisper To Lions” out in September 2015. Foz says: ”
We have been spending a lot of time writing and preparing this album and are very excited about releasing it. We were more collaborative as a band on some of this new material and I think it shows. “Whisper To Lions” will also have a few features on it from some very well established platinum selling artists that we will talk about soon!”
