About Christian Tiger School:

Christian Tiger School is the pairing of Luc Veermeer and Sebastiano Zanasi, electronic producers from Cape Town, South Africa. At the young age of 22, the duo have become a dominant presence on the South African music scene in only a few short years and have fashioned a sound and performance style that speaks to their idiosyncratic tastes and personalities.

Citing the LA beat scene as one of their major sources of inspiration, the group has seamlessly incorporated distinctly South African sounds over a solid hip-hop foundation.

Both Zanasi and Veermeer claim to be indirectly influenced by Jazz and this is not only evident in their free form and left-field attitude to production but also in the way they improvise in their live sets. Improvisation on drum pads, keyboards and electric guitar have seen the creation of an act that moves far beyond the confines of typical electronic performance.

Summer of 2015 will see the release of their full-length debut, Chrome Tapes, on legendary American indie label Tommy Boy Entertainment. The record, perfect for both turning up and coming down, takes the group in a new sonic direction towards sprawling walls of sound and galloping hip-hop/electronica beats, forming a sound that is entirely their own.
